The HTC One X – How Will The iPhone 5 Compare?Sep 3rd, 2012 | By phoneslimited | Category: Telecommunications
The HTC One X is widely regarded as one of the most impressive smartphones currently on the market. It is proving to be one of the main if competitors to the Apple iPhone 4S. Apple is due to release the iPhone 5 next month, and this will certainly have its work cut out if it is going to compete with the HTC One X. In this article, I am going to look at some of the key features of the HTC One X that the iPhone 5 will have to compete with.
One of the most important features for many people when choosing a new smartphone is the quality of its built in camera. The HTC One X is widely regarded as one of the best cameraphones on the market thanks to its 8 megapixel camera which comes with numerous innovative features along with the ability to capture video footage in high definition. The camera of the iPhone 4S is very similar to this in many respects, that has been suggested by many sources that the iPhone 5 will sport a 12 mega pixel camera, so in theory it could outdo the camera of the HTC One X.
Another important feature of any smartphone is the quality of its touchscreen. The HTC One X certainly impresses in this department thanks to 4.7 inch super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen technology which sports a resolution of 720x 1280 which means it is able to display high definition content. The screen has many benefits including great colour rendering, consistent brightness and wide viewing angles. The iPhone 4S is also well known for its display quality, although it is considerably smaller at 3.5 inches. The iPhone 5 is likely to see the introduction of a much larger screen to the iPhone series, with many sources suggesting a 4 inch display is already in production process for this device.
The HTC One X is among the first smartphones to boast a quad-core processor, and a 1.5 GHz this makes it one of the most powerful smartphones on the market. This provides the handset with outstanding levels of performance across many of the handset’s features. The iPhone 4S has a 1GHz dual-core processor, which on paper is significantly less powerful than that of the HTC One X. Therefore we can expect the iPhone 5 to have a much more powerful processor if it is to compete with HTC One X. Whether or not this will be a quad-core processor is anyone’s guess, but either way it is sure to boast excellent performance across all areas of its spec list.
The iPhone 5 is due to be released at some point over the next couple of months, and whatever its spec list entails it is sure to give handsets like the HTC One X a run for their money.
