150k Units Of The Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-A Sold In First Two Weeks

Sales of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have broken records for the South Korean manufacturer as expected. Although it was recently reported that demand for the phone may be slowing down, it was recently revealed that sales of the phone topped 20 million sales after just two months on the market, the same figure that its Galaxy S3 predecessor took one hundred days to achieve.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is of course the most advanced model to date from the manufacturer. Key features include a 5 inch 1080p display, 13 megapixel camera, 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2.2 Jellybean operating system with Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX interface and an innovative package of Samsung applications.

Samsung recently launched a new variant of the Galaxy S4, but with LTE-Advanced connectivity. This is the fastest means of downloading data on a mobile device, offering even faster speeds than 4G. It was recently reported by SamMobile that Samsung has sold 150,000 units of this version of the device after just two weeks on the market. Of course, the ongoing strong sales the Galaxy S4 mean that this may not seem like the most newsworthy figure. However, these sales refer to a single market, South Korea which is the only country where this version of the device is currently available. Visit our website for the latest Samsung Galaxy S4 news, and compare Samsung Galaxy S4 contract offers.

This version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 has largely the same spec list as the standard version. The main changes made to the phone’s hardware include an upgraded processor, which is a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, clocked at 2.3 GHz, and of course the addition of LTE-Advanced connectivity.

South Korea is currently the only country where this version of phone is available, and it seems that Samsung currently has no plans to release it in the UK. However, this is of course subject to change in the future, as 4G infrastructure becomes more widely available.

Would you buy this version of the phone if it was made available in the UK, or do you think the standard Samsung Galaxy S4 will be the better choice? Leave a comment to let us know what you think.

Sales Of The Samsung Galaxy S4 Hit 20 Million

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has been the most high profile smartphone release of 2013. The device instantly became the latest record breaking success for the South Korean manufacturer, and although it has recently been reported that demand for the phone has been slowing down, it looks like these claims may have been unfounded.

Before the Samsung Galaxy S4 hit the market, Samsung forecast 10,000,000 sales of the device every month in 2013. GSM Arena has recently reported that looks like the success of the device has been as anticipated. The website has reported that the Galaxy S4 has now topped 20,000,000 sales, after reports of 10,000,000 sales during its first month on the market. Of course, last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S3 which instantly shot to fame after selling its first 20,000,000 units in just 100 days. With the Galaxy S4 hitting 20,000,000 sales already, this means that the device has sold 1.7 times faster than the Galaxy S3, which in itself was a record breaking device. This success also means that the Galaxy S4 has become the biggest selling smartphone of 2013. Samsung has predicted 80,000,000 sales of the Galaxy S4 throughout 2013, and if sales continue at the current rate it looks like it will beat the 60,000,000 sales achieved by the Galaxy S3 in 2012. The device also runs Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX and sees the addition of a whole host of new software features making the Galaxy S4 one of the most powerful devices on the market.

Although the Galaxy S4 faces stiff competition from rival manufacturers of devices like the HTC One and Sony Xperia Z, along with rumours of a new iPhone hitting the market in 2013, we expect the Galaxy S4 to remain the biggest selling device of the year.

Lower Than Anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 Sales Results In The Company Missing Q2 Targets

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has achieved outstanding sales figures, but despite this it seems that the South Korean manufacturers have sold less of the device than was first expected. A recent report suggests that this has lead to the company missing their targets for this year’s second quarter.

Samsung’s target for the second quarter has not been met due to less copies of the Samsung Galaxy S4 being sold than was first expected. During the period the operating income generated by Samsung was £5.5 billion, however the estimated prediction was £5.8 billion. Jung Sang-jin who is a fund manager at Dongbu Asset Management who own Samsung shares spoke to Times of India and commented “Is Samsung’s smartphone story now over? Not quite yet. It’s growth is indeed slowing due largely to disappointing sales of the S4. Yet I think Samsung has some exciting stuff up its sleeves. The problem is no one is sure whether these products can really wow investors and consumers”.

Even though Samsung generated a lower income than expected for Q2 they did however register a growth in sales when compares to the first quarter. A figure of £33 billion was registered in the second quarter compared to the first three months in the year when the company achieved a figure of £27 billion, even though these figures seem impressive, they are not what the company had expected. The Samsung Galaxy S4 was predicted to become the company’s best selling smartphone to date when the device was first released. Since the phone hit the shelves there has been a whole range of variants release and each one is aimed at a different type of consumer. This could be the lower than expected sales figures achieved by the flagship model. Set to join the new variants is a Qualcomm 800 version of the S4 and the new Nexus edition of the device has already hit in the US. All of these variations are sure to have an effect of the sales figures for the company’s flagship smartphone. Want GalaxyS4 mouthwatering deals then click here

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is without doubt a very popular model, however it seems that the company over estimated its popularity which has resulted in the company failing to meet recent targets.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Breaks The 20 Million Sales Mark

The Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched back in April and has proven to be a huge success although we are now hearing rumours that there has been a drop in demand for the device. Latest sales figures, however show that sales figures are still very impressive.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 was launched just two months ago and the device is still well on target to becoming the most popular smartphone release to date by the South Korean manufacturers. This superb device has sold over 20 million units so far. We have begun to hear speculation that the sales figures for the S4 are less that what was initially expected which has lead to a decrease in its production, however the phone continues to sell well and has achieved better sales figures than its predecessor in a shorter period of time. J.K Shin, the CEO of Samsung is said to have reported the 20 million figure to Korean news sources and went on to comment that this figure was reached by the end of June. Last year it took the Galaxy S3 model three months to achieve this figure.

It is believed that the reason behind the models popularity is the range of innovative new features that it has to offer. Offered by the device are items such as Smart Pause which will detect when the user is no longer looking at the screen and will pause playback. The model also boasts Smart Scroll which uses similar eye tracking technology to automatically scroll the page. The Galaxy S4 also offers users a high quality 5 inch Super AMOLED screen that is capable of displaying a resolution of 1080P. Other specification includes a powerful quad core processor and a super camera which will deliver 1080P video and also 13 megapixel still images. All of these elements are why the handset has become such a hit with consumers worldwide. Nexus Editions Of The Samsung Galaxy S4 And The HTC One Hit US Shelves

It was earlier this month that we reported that we would soon be seeing Nexus additions of the two most popular Android smartphones on the market hitting our shelves. Those models are the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One. As promised, these exciting new models have now become available in the US.

Two of the very best Android devices around are the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One, both of which boast great specification and stylish design. These new Nexus variants are great for those consumers that would prefer to have a device with a pure Android platform that does not have the limitations of the manufacturer’s own user interfaces. These handsets are now available from the Google Play store. Right now its only the US consumers that can get their hands on these two devices and it is the Galaxy S4 that is the more expensive of the two models at $649 with the HTC device slightly cheaper at $599. Included in both of these prices is free delivery. Even though these devices can be ordered now, there will still be a wait of a couple of weeks before the handset will be shipped as shipment dates are not to begin until July 9th.

For those Android purists out there the Nexus editions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One are sure to be a hit. Similar functionality is offered by the Nexus 4 smartphone that has been available for some time now, however many consumers are not happy with some of the devices limitations. The Nexus 4 is still sure to appeal to Android lovers however due to it being considerably cheaper. Software updates for these new Nexus edition models will be rolled out directly from Google which is one of the main advantages that they offer. Consumers normally have a lengthy wait for the latest version of the operating system to arrive on their phone because manufacturers normally spend weeks adapting the software to work alongside their own interfaces. Apart from the software differences both of these models offer the same specification as the standard models. All the best GalaxyS4 Samsung SIM Free costs in one place

Samsung Finally Announce The Arrival Of The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active

Ever since the launch of the Galaxy S4 back in April we have been hearing rumours about a variant of the model known as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. Samsung held their Galaxy & Ativ event recently and they kicked off the event by unveiling the new eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.

The new Samsung Galaxy S4 Active has been designed as a more rugged version of the popular S4 that will keep up with some of the most Active users around. This new model is possibly the most exciting model to be released by the company over recent months, so it was no surprise that the Korean manufacturers decided to start the Galaxy and Ativ event with this new device. Jason Bradbury from the television programme The Gadget Show introduced the audience to the new model. No time was wasted and Jason began the presentation by submerging the water resistant model into water and taking photos of the audience. Over the past few weeks there have been many reports about the new S4 Active, so there was not much that we did not already know.

The new Samsung Galaxy S4 Active offers impressive operating speeds thanks to its Qualcomm 600 chipset setup that comprises of a 1.9Ghz Krait processing chip and an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit. There is a 5 inch TFT display on board that offers 1080P resolution and a pixel density of 441PPI. The standout feature of this new model is its excellent durability which makes it a great choice for even the most extreme of sportspeople. The new S4 active offers water resistance of up to depths of 1 metre which can be sustained for up to 30 minutes of time. The phone is also dust resistant making it a great choice for those consumers that enjoy outdoor activities. Despite the camera department offering a lower 8 megapixel resolution than the original S4, this is made up for by the ability of being able to capture images while the phone is submerged under water. Samsung Galaxy S4 Beats Competition In Benchmark Test

With such a high calibre of smartphones currently on the market, comparing their features can be a daunting task when choosing your next model. This year, new devices like the HTC One, Sony Xperia Z and Samsung Galaxy S4 hit the market, boasting of increasing levels of processing power.

Of course, each of these devices have their own benefits over competing smartphones, and Phones Review has recently reported on a benchmark test carried out by consumer advice publication Which?, to see which of the top smartphone models boasts the best performance in terms of processing power.

At the top of the list of seven high end smartphones, was Samsung Galaxy S4. Of course, the device is well known for being one of the most advanced models on the market, and boasts a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor for outstanding levels of performance. Perhaps surprisingly, Apple’s popular iPhone 5 model came in last place, with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, which on paper has considerably less processing power than Samsung’s flagship handset. The HTC One was in second place, followed by the Sony Xperia Z, Google Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Blackberry Z10 respectively. Further information on the Samsung Galaxy S4 is available on our website, wlong with Samsung Galaxy S4 contract comparisons from UK networks.

The memory and performance achieved by each handset was rated by the Geekbench 2 benchmarking app to rank each handset. The score achieved by the Samsung Galaxy S4 was 3188. Compared to the HTC One in second position, which scored 2798, it shows how much of a leed the Galaxy S4 has over its nearest rival. To put the performance of the iPhone 5 into perspective, it only achieved a score of 1664.

Obviously, the results of the test demonstrate that the Galaxy S4 is miles ahead of its nearest competitor on paper, but in real world usage it is unlikely that the majority of consumers would notice a difference in performance between the Galaxy S4 and the iPhone 5, despite the difference in scored achieved on this test. On paper at least, this test solidifies the reputation of the Samsung Galaxy S4 as the most powerful smartphone available.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Announced In Five New Colours

Samsung held a press event in London’s Earls Court earlier this week, where several new devices were unveiled. These include the recently announced Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy S4 Zoom, along with a number of additions to its Windows phone powered Activ range, and several new colour variants of its Galaxy S4 flagship.

When the Samsung Galaxy S4 first hit the market, the device was offered in two colour variants. These were black mist and frost white. Similarly, its Galaxy S3 predecessor was also released in two colour options (pebble blue and marble white), but was launched in a number of other colour options later in 2012, and it appears that this has also been the case for the Galaxy S4.

Several new colour variants of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have been rumoured in previous weeks, and five new options were showcased at the event. Joining the black and white versions, the Galaxy S4 is now available in pink twilight, brown autumn, purple mirage, red aurora and blue arctic colour schemes. This brings the total number of colour options of the Samsung Galaxy S4 to seven. Contract deals for the Samsung Galaxy S4 are listed on our website.

It has been widely reported that initial sales of the Samsung Galaxy S4 have been impressive, beating the South Korean manufacturer’s target of 10 million sales in its first month. However, recent reports have suggested that sales appear to have been slowing down, so releasing the phone in new colour schemes may be exactly what the phone needs to get sales back on track.

As these variants were announced in the UK, it is expected that they will be available to UK customers. However, it is likely that some will be exclusive to particular networks as was the case with additional colour variants of the Galaxy S3. Furthermore, all models are likely to be available as SIM free handsets.

In the music industry, the big news is the upcoming album release from hip hop superstar Jay-Z. With recent reports of an exclusive endorsement deal with Samsung, it was recently revealed that owners of certain Samsung Galaxy devices will be able to download the upcoming album before it goes on general release.

This is some of the first news we have heard regarding exact details of the rumoured $20 million deal between one of the world’s biggest electronics manufacturers, and perhaps the biggest name in hip hop. Earlier this week, it was revealed at the halftime show of game 5 of the NBA finals that Jay-Z’s new ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ album will be exclusively available to owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 via an exclusive app which only works with these devices. Visit our website for updates on the Samsung Galaxy S4, and the best deals on Samsung Galaxy S4 contracts.

The app can be downloaded from the 24th of June, several days before the album on the 7th of July. However, the first million Samsung Galaxy users to download the app will be able to download the album for free on the 4th of July. With millions of fans around the world, coupled with hundreds of millions of Samsung Galaxy devices used on a daily basis, it is more than likely that the first million copies of the album will be downloaded almost instantly.

Slash Gear reports that Jay-Z is likely to have made around $5 million from this part of the endorsement deal with Samsung. With rumours of the entire deal being worth $20 million, we expect to see more Samsung promotions from Jay-Z during the summer.
