The Sony Ericsson Vivaz enters the fray

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz is one of the most advanced mobile phones available within the market currently. This enigmatic smart phone utilises an effective 720 MHz processor with the added benefit of the Symbian series 60, 5th edition operating system. The phone measures 107 mm x 51 mm wide whilst it is 12 mm thick and weighs only 97 g in weight.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz incorporates several connection options including high-speed 10.2 Mbps internet access, which is via the HSDPA connection. Alternative internet access is provided by the Wi Fi connection which offers the opportunity to utilise nationally available hotspots. Class 10 versions of GPRS and EDGE, are also included and combine perfectly with integrated microUSB and Bluetooth connections. The handsets 75 MB of internal memory is supplemented by the inclusion of an 8 GB SD card. Additional memory capacity is available by utilising the microSD card slot allowing the user to increase memory storage capabilities up to a more creditable 16 GB. The integrated GPS function offers satellite navigation and utilises the popular Wisepilot navigation as well as including A-GPS support.

The phone comes with a 3.2 inch TFT touch screen that displays 16 million colours and their variants within a 360 x 640 pixel screen. The handset provides an innovative turn to mute feature in addition to a variety of snoozing alarms whilst also including the means to automate image aspect orientation by virtue of the included accelerometer sensor.

The handset comes with an 8.0 megapixel camera which includes auto focus, touch focus, smile and face detection as well as the illumination properties of an LED flash. Geo-tagging, the popular feature is also provided as standard with this unit. The camera offers the opportunity to capture video as an alternative to still imagery and records at a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720 whilst also including a video light.

The Sony Vivaz offers social media interactivity by virtue of the inclusion of Facebook and Twitter applications in addition to YouTube and Picasa integration. The handsets media player and stereo FM radio offer a variety of entertainment features in addition to additional features such as the integrated organiser, document reader, voice memo and Google maps.
