The Acer Stream offers a wealth of functionality

The Acer Stream is an impressive handset in both form and function. This latest unit from the Acer stable combines a multitude of technologically advanced features which impresses. The handset is 190 mm x 63 mm wide whilst being 11 millimetres thick, in addition the unit weighs 140 g in weight and offers touch screen functionality as well as web access.

The central element of this handset is its 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen, which displays 16 million colours within a 480 x 800 pixel screen size. The unit utilises the Acer touch 3-D user interface, which within this particular handset is version 4.0. In addition both, accelerometer and proximity sensors are provided as standard.

The unit comes with Wi Fi and HSDPA connections, providing web access at speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, whilst also offering EDGE, GPRS, blue tooth and micro-USB connections. The unit has an internal memory storage capacity which is quoted at 2 GB, however most packages include an 8 GB card. For further memory expansion the existing microSD card slot can be utilised to increase this up to a more creditable 32 GB.

The handsets 5.0 megapixel camera operates at 2560 x 1920 pixels and utilises auto focus, image stabilisation and geo-tagging to provide an impressive user experience. In addition the camera can be utilised as a video capture device, offering the ability to record video at 720 pixels and at 24 frames per second.

The Acer Stream offers one of the fastest processing capabilities available in the market, with its utilisation of a 1 GHz processor. To add further weight to the handsets offering, the android operating system is utilised within the unit.

In addition to the aforementioned functionality the handset also comes with a stereo FM radio with RDS, MP4/MP3 media player as well as Facebook and Flickr integration. A useful document viewer, voice memo as well as digital compass are also included within the unit.

The Acer Liquid Stream is both technologically advanced as well as aesthetically appealing.
