The HTC One X And iPhone 4S – Key Features ComparedAug 27th, 2012 | By phoneslimited | Category: Telecommunications
As one of the most popular smartphones the market, the Apple iPhone 4S is used on millions of people around the world. However, this handset is now facing increasingly impressive competition from a number of manufacturers and operating systems such as Android. In this article, I will compare some of the key features of the iPhone 4S with those of the HTC One X, one of the most impressive Android smartphones currently on the market.
One of the fundamental differences between these two phones is in their processors. The iPhone 4S has a 1 GHz dual-core processor, which was a very impressive attribute at the time of the handset’s release last October. This provides the handset with excellent performance, even by today’s standards. The HTC One X and the other hand is much more powerful in terms of its processing power, on account of it being a much newer phone. Because of this it has a much more powerful processor. With a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, this makes it a much more powerful smartphone. This extra power means that users can expect a more responsive touchscreen, fast download times and more efficient multitasking among other benefits.
When choosing their next smartphone, many people see the quality of the touchscreen as one of the most important features. The iPhone 4S and the HTC One X differ significantly in this respect. The screen of the iPhone 4S is also known as the retina display on account of its superior display quality. It gets its name because of the fact that the human eye cannot distinguish between individual pixels on the screen. This is a result of its pixel density of 330 pixels per inch, which remains unrivalled even on many newer smartphones. It has a resolution of 640x 960, which when packed into the 3.5 inch screen, creates this high pixel density. The screen of the HTC One X is the most advanced one to date from the manufacturer. It utilises super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen technology, and is considerably larger than the screen of the iPhone 4S at 4.7 inches. This has a resolution of 720x 1280 which means it is able to display high definition content, which in conjunction with its larger size makes it the perfect handset for multimedia use.
Obviously there is much more to both of these phones than their processors and screens. Be sure to check out my future articles where I will compare more features of these two impressive handsets.
