The HTC Explorer is an engaging unit

The HTC Explorer delivers impressive functionality and performance into the palm of the user by virtue of its useful technology. The unit utilises a 600 MHz processor combined with the gingerbread version of the android operating system, all of which is contained within a unit which only weighs 108 g in weight, whilst measuring 102 mm x 57 mm wide and being 12 mm thick.

The handsets display screen is an impressive 3.2 inch TFT capacitive display screen which not only provides effective imagery by virtue of the fact that within its 320 x 480 pixel screen resolution it can accurately display up to 256,000 colours, but also from the point of view that it also offers touch screen functionality. For navigation the unit utilises touch sensitive controls, in addition to version 3.5 of the HTC sense user interface. The unit automates a variety of tasks by incorporating accelerometer and proximity sensors as standard.

The handset comes with a 3.15 mega pixel camera which takes effective imagery which operates at a pixel screen resolution which is quoted at 2048 x 1536 pixels and includes geotagging and face detection as standard, in addition to the opportunity to record video with the same camera. A stereo FM radio with RDS is included which provides live broadcast access, whilst the satellite navigation feature comes with A-GPS support. The multimedia player provides the opportunity to play wide range of file formats, whilst the unit also incorporates an organiser, predictive text input and voice memo facility.

In terms of connectivity the handset comes with Internet access, at speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps, through its own 3G connection whilst also providing the ability to access the net through Wi Fi hotspots. The unit also offers the opportunity of creating its own Wi Fi hotspot. Blue tooth, Micro USB as well as GPRS and EDGE connectivity are included, whilst the memory capacity of the unit is enhanced by virtue of a micro-SD card slot, which enables the user to utilise relevant cards to increase the memory capacity up to 32 GB if required.

The HTC Explorer, which is similar to the HTC Radar, provides an extensively and comprehensively functional mobile phone with impressive features.
