The HTC Explorer delivers on all counts

The HTC Explorer is a handset which offers a stunning array of useful functionality and technology, all of which is powered by a 600 MHz processor and the gingerbread version of the android operating system, all of which is housed within a lightweight and compact unit which measures 102 mm x 57 mm wide whilst being 12 mm thick and weighing 108 g in weight.

The units display screen is a 3.2 inch TFT capacitive touch screen which makes use of the HTC sense user interface, version 3.5 as its primary means of navigation. In addition the unit comes with a range of touch sensitive controls to provide an alternative means of navigation, whilst imagery displayed is of outstanding quality by virtue of the fact that with a 320 x 480 pixel screen resolution it is able to accurately display up to 256,000 colours. The unit also comes with accelerometer and proximity sensors standard.

Ring and vibration alert options are incorporated as is the ability to utilise MP3 and WAV ringtones, whilst a loudspeaker and 3.5 mm Jack with SRS surround sound enhancement are also included a standard. The unit comes with a Micro SD card slot which provides the opportunity to increase the available memory capacity within the unit up to 32 GB by adding relevant cards, whilst also incorporating the usual elements and Micro USB, Bluetooth, GPRS and EDGE. In addition the handset provides high-speed Internet access by virtue of its own 3G HSDPA connection, speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps available, whilst also offering the opportunity to access available Wi Fi access by virtue of the Wi Fi connection, whilst also offering the ability to create its own Wi Fi hotspot.

The handset comes with a 3.15 megapixel camera which takes snapshot style imagery and which operates at a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and which includes geo-tagging and face detection as standard with the option of recording video at 480 pixels. In addition the unit comes with a stereo radio with RDS, satellite navigation, an MP4/MP3 multimedia player, organiser, predictive text input and voice memo functionality.

The HTC Explorer, like the HTC Radar is a handset which provides the consumer with an impressive array of technology and functionality, combined with the typical HTC styling.
